The Burger Recipe

The yummy, bacon-rich burger

It was a very busy year end for the cook. That was why the recipes haven’t been coming. The cook finally managed to write down her delicious burger recipe despite her still-hectic office hours. So without further ado, here it is. We hope you’ll enjoy it!

Burger Recipe

Makes 3 burgers.

Ingredients:

  • 250 gram mince beef
  • 6 slices of streaky bacon ( or turkey bacon)
  • 1/3 Onion – mince finely (you can reduce or add as you like)
  • 3 cloves of garlic – mince finely
  • Black pepper
  • Salt
  • Cheedar Cheese or Provolone Cheese
  • 3 Burger Bun
  • Slices of tomatoes
  • Lettuces

Things that you need to do:

Cut the bacon into small pieces and pan-fry (no oil needed) them until a bit crisp.

Put the mince beef in the big bowl, mix in the mince onion and garlic. Add in the black pepper and pinch
of salt.

Divide the beef into 3 portions. Shape each of them into a small bowl. Put in the bacon into the meat
and wrap them well inside the beef.

Pan-fry (or grill) the beef until it is half cooked. I used a metal bowl to cover the beef while cooking it on the
pan (this method somehow keeps the beef juicy). When the beef starts to brown, flip it over to cook the
top side. Once it is almost cooked put the cheese on top of the beef then cover it again with the bowl
until the cheese melts.

While you are cooking the beef, grill the bun with a little bit of butter.

Arrange the meat, tomatoes and lettuce in between the bun, and there you have it. A not so run-of-the-mill burger.

The hubby loves this burger so much because it has the nice-salty-surprise-bacon-bits-goodness inside the
meat. The fat from the bacon makes the beef taste wonderful… so I guess they are right.. bacon really does make
everything good ;;)
